Police Log: Whipple Road Crash Leads To Arrest
According to Tewksbury Police, dispatch received several calls just before 9 p.m., after a car driven by John William Molinari, went out of control and crashed into a retaining wall outside 890 Whipple Road.
Molinari, 40, of 110 Maureen Drive, was not seriously injured in the crash. Officers responded to the scene and, following a brief investigation, Molinari under arrest.
He is charged with OUI-Liquor (4th offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and driving a car with revoked registration.
Warrant arrests at Motel 6
Police officers arrested two men staying at the Motel 6, 95 Main St. on outstanding warrants.
On Friday, May 23, at 9:02 p.m., officers arrested Jonathan McLean, 30, 18 Almont St., Lowell. He had outstanding warrants for assault and battery, driving with a suspended license and possession of a Class A drug.
Less than two hours later, officers were back at Motel 6 to serve another warrant and arrested Gary A. Duarte, 37, who listed his address at Motel 6. He had an outstanding warrant for OUI-liquor.
Traffic stop leads to drug arrests
Two men and a woman face drug charges after an alert stop by a Tewksbury Police officer.
The officer called in that he was out with a suspicious vehicle and received backup from four other units. After a brief investigation, all three occupants of the vehicle were arrested. Each was charged with possession of a Class A drug.
Arrested were: Marc Therrien, 36, 31 Madonna Circle, Lowell, Kara Avila, 31, 11 Hildreth St., Apt. 405, Lowell, and Jason S. Capua, 33, homeless.
Friday, May 23, 4:24 p.m. -- A Livingstone Street woman called police to report that her 22-year-old daughter was out of control and had locked her out of the house. Officers responded to the scene and then firefighters were called to the scene to open the door.
The situation was resolved. According to police the dispute between the women had been over a cell phone.
Friday, May 23, 12:03 a.m. -- Jake Fitzgerald, 20, 35 Old Elm St., Billerica, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for malicious destruction of property over $250. He was arrested at the Motel 6 after the desk clerk called police to report what they believed was an underage drinking party.
Saturday, May 24, 4:28 p.m. -- Dispatch reveives a 911 call regarding a young woman panhandling near the entrance to the Walmart parking lot with a van parked nearby. Officers responded and the woman said she was just taking a break from traveling.
Saturday, May 24, 1:22 p.m. -- A very large pothole is reported on Rockvale Avenue. An officer responds and places a large orange cone in front of the pothole. DPW was notified.
Friday, May 23, 11:10 a.m. -- A woman called police to report being the victim of a hit and run at the Tewksbury Mobil, 940 Andover St.
The woman said her car had been struck by a gray, tri-axle truck with no license plate. The truck then fled up River Road.
