The Airport Diner has closed for good.

The owners of the Airport Diner  have announced they have closed their doors permanently.
Chris and Ann Denopoulos posted the following message on the Airport Diner Facebook page on Sunday afternoon:

To our wonderful customers and friends.
After careful consideration, we have decided to close The Airport Diner permanently. This decision did not come lightly, but due to an unexpected turn of events, this was the right decision for us. We will miss the many people we have met over the years. Thank you so much for the years of letting us serve you.
Chris and Ann"

A sign on the diner's door at 1768 Main St. on Monday confirmed the restaurant had served its last meal.
Chris Denopoulos and Matt Carson bought the Route 38 eatery in October, 2011. After a bit of a shaky start, the diner had picked up a following and had garnered mostly positive reviews by diners.
