Holy Peanut Butter Pie!

Jun 08, 2014 06:26PM ● By Hollie Gonzalez

Some days you feel like a nut, some days you feel like a peanut butter pie!  So here is my recipe for a peanut butter pie that is easy and delicious.  See, I'm the type of person who loves a good dessert.  If I'm having dessert, its not going to be something that tastes like the box it came from.  This pie is so good, that people will want you to bring it every time you are invited somewhere.  Enjoy!

Ingredients: 1 pack of Oreo cookies (not double stuffed)

1 stick of butter, melted

1 1/2 cups of creamy peanut butter ( Teddy of JIF work great)

1 regular size tub of Cool Whip

1/2 cup of sugar

1 cup of chocolate chips (melted)

2 packs of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (total of 4 cups)

1 can of whipped cream

Build your pie:

Crush Oreos finely and add the stick of melted butter until well combined.  Press firmly into a pie plate or baking dish, whatever you have.  In a large bowl, add the peanut butter, Cool Whip, & sugar.  Mix with an electric mixer until all ingredients are blended and filling is a tan color. (meaning no white of the Cool Whip should be seen)  Add filling to the Oreo crust.  Set aside.  Melt your cup of chocolate chips.  You can do this easily in the microwave.  Once the chocolate is melted, spread with a rubber spatula on top of the filling.  Next, add your Reese's PB Cups.  Break them into small pieces and sprinkle onto top of pie.  Refrigerate.  This pie has to stay in the fridge for about 2 hours.  (You can freeze it too, just make sure you let it thaw for at least an hour before you try to cut it).

Serve it with dollops of whip cream or drizzle hot fudge over the top when you serve it!  Soooooo Good!
