A Nashua, NH woman was arrested for prostitution Tuesday evening after allegedly soliciting both a patron at the Tewksbury Public Library and a Tewksbury Police detective.
Brittany Macintyre, 20, of 18 Orange St., Nashua, N.H is charged with offering sex for fee. She was scheduled to be arraigned today in Lowell District Court.
According to Tewksbury Police, plainclothes detectives were sent to the library after having been informed that a woman (later I.D. as Macintyre) had solicited sex for a fee from a patron.
One of the detectives went to the area of the library where the MacIntyre was and where the incident with the patron had allegedly taken place earlier.
According to the police report, MacIntyre immediately engaged the Detective in conversation. She then passed the detective a pen and a small piece of paper. Notes were exchanged back and forth until Macintyre requested $60 for a certain sex act.
The detective and Macintyre then headed to the exit at the front of the library, where she was placed under arrest without incident. According to police, Macintyre also has an outstanding warrant for drug possession out of Lawrence District Court.
