The following information was submitted by the North Street School/Dewing School PAC.
The students at the North Street School in Tewksbury earned approximately $1,500 through the Stop & Shop A Plus Rewards program for the 2013-2014 school year.
The North Street, along with its sister school the Dewing, worked to collect Stop & Shop card numbers from friends and family in order to earn cash for their arts and enrichment goals.
North Street PAC Chairperson Carolyn Gaglione is thrilled with the program’s success. "Our families love the chance to help the school and are very excited with our contest every year," she said.
Families submit Stop & Shop numbers and are entered into a raffle to win a Stop & Shop gift card. Families do not lose gas rewards or other discounts by registering to support their school. The program is a pure community outreach program by Stop & Shop which runs August to March, and points collected from purchases are converted into cash which is given directly to the school.
“We love the fact that we have been so successful even though we don’t have a Stop & Shop in our town," said Paige Impink, volunteer coordinator. “So many of our families have relatives in other communities, even in other states where Stop & Shop operates. We benefit from every one of their purchases.”
Residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for registration opportunities in the fall. This is an easy way to help the schools while making purchases you already have planned. www.stopandshop.com/aplus.
