Police Log: Suspect Barricades Himself In House, Alleged Drunk Cyclist Arrested

The incident took place Thursday, just before noon at 93 Berkeley St. in North Billerica, behind Long Pond, just over the town line. Billerica Police asked for assistance after having been called by Essex Regional dispatch regarding a domestic disturbance at that address. Five Tewksbury officers were sent to the scene and a K-9 unit was requested.
A tactical team was initially requested as well when it was learned the suspect had barricaded himself in the house. However, he was able to be apprehended without further incident.
Michael R. Forster, 34, 93 Berkeley St. is charged with Domestic Assault and Battery, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.

On Thursday, July 17, at 5:42 p.m., an Edgewood Drive resident called police to report that his wife and daughter had just been chased by two pit bulls that were loose in the neighborhood.
Three officers were sent to the location to find the dogs. The animals were tracked down and an officer reported that they seemed to be friendly.
The officers attempted to locate the dogs' owner but with no success.
Allegedly intoxicated cyclist arrested on warrant
On Friday, July 18, police received a call at 5:23 p.m. regarding a woman on a pedal bike near the intersection of Shawsheen Street and Main Street. The caller said the woman had fallen several times and appeared to be intoxicated.
Officers responded to the scene and arrested Katelyn M. Gouellette, 33, 34 Marie St., Tewksbury, on an outstanding warrant for shoplifting. The bike mountain bike was taken to police headquarters and the suspect's mother came to take possession of it.
James M. Hurst, 23, 3 Eastwood Road, Windham, NH, was arrested on Friday, July 18, on outstanding warrants for OUI-Drugs and Possession of a Class A substance. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating a motor vehicle with a license not in possession and possession of a Class E drug.
Friday, July 18, 4:29 p.m. -- A woman called police from a room at Motel 6 and reported that two people had entered her room and threatened her. An officer responded to the scene to assess the situation. Someone from St. William Parish then came to the room to help the woman, as she had no funds left to pay for a room.
Thursday, July 17, 10:17 p.m. -- Police received a call from an employee of Dunkin' Donuts, 1706 Shawsheen St. She said when she arrived at work she had chained and locked her back up behind the building. However, when she got out of work, it was gone. An officer responded to the scene, took information and filed a report.
