Jul 22, 2014 11:33AM ● By Bill Gilman
Robert Favuzza, owner of the Honey Dew Donuts franchise in Wilmington, has taken a public stand in support of the efforts of Market Basket employees' efforts to force the re-hiring of former CEO and President Arthur T. DeMoulas.
Tuesday morning, on the Honey Dew Facebook Page, Fevuzza made the following special offer to Market Basket employees for the remainder of July and all of August.

Dear Market Basket Employees,
Honey Dew Donuts in Wilmington would like to support you in your efforts. I am aware that many of you have lost your Job and others will see hours diminished so we at Honey Dew Wilmington (337 Main St) would like to offer you a Medium Hot or Iced Coffee for $.99 as well as an Egg and Cheese Wrap for $.99 for the rest of the month and all of August. Just present your Market Basket Badge to receive this benefit. I am a second generation customer to Market Basket and understand that many of you have not only served me but also my parents.

Thus far, Honey Dew is the first local company to publicly support the Market Basket workers. However, reports are beginning to surface of other grocery stores in the region reaching out to woo Market Basket customers during this crisis.
