The National Night Out Against Crime will be held on August 5th at the Senior Center.  This event is put on by the Tewksbury Police Department.  There will be a car show and cookout starting at 4:30PM and then a movie for the kids starting at 6:15PM.  Why not come down, it’s free and a lot of fun.

The Upscale Consignment shop will have its monthly intake of items on Monday, August 4th from 2 to 6PM.  They will be accepting summer and fall clothes at this time.

Tickets are on sale now for the August 6th Foxwood’s trip.  The cost of this trip is $30 per person and includes motor coach transportation, a casino package and the driver gratuity.

The next foot care clinic will be held on Thursday August 7th.    At this time that clinic is full.  Due to a high demand, we will also have a clinic on August 21st.  Call the office 978-640-4482 and speak to Jan to book an appointment for the day.

There is a Cootie Party Scheduled at the Senior Center at 12:30pm on Monday August 11th.  The cost is $4.00 per person and all are welcome.

The next Men’s Group meeting will be held on Thursday, August 14th at 9:00 AM.  All men 60+ are welcome.

On August 15, 2014, the GAC will hold a fashion show featuring clothes from the Upscale Consignment Shop.  The cost to attend is a $10 donation and we are still looking for models.

The next Diabetes Academy will be held on Tuesday August 19th.  Karen Orband, RN BSN CDE holds these informative sessions here at the Senior Center once per month.  Come on down and learn a little more about Diabetes.

Rep Jim Miceli will hold office hours on August 26th from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at the Senior Center.

The public is reminded that the Senior Center’s Upscale Consignment Boutique and the Snooti Patooti Gift Shop have some great deals! Please note: the Snooti Patooti Hours change in the summer, Mon-Thurs 11am-1pm and Fri 9-11am.  The Upscale Consignment Boutique’s hours remain the same.  All proceeds from the shops support the programs and activities at the Senior Center.

The Senior Center was accepted into this year’s Applefest Craft fair, taking place at the Tewksbury Memorial High School on Saturday October 25th, from 9am-3pm. We are looking for volunteers to craft for this event. The Senior Center will cover the cost of supplies and then all proceeds will be returned to the center. If interested, please contact COA Director Ashley Stuart at the number listed above.

Lastly, the Senior Center will hold its own craft fair on Saturday October 4th, from 10am-2pm. Tables are available to the public at $25 or two for $40. If you’re interested please contact Kathy Walsh at 978-640-0046 or 978-771-5908.
