Is The Clock About To Strike Midnight For Striking Demoulas/Market Basket Workers?

Faced with a deadline of today or Monday (depending on the job) to return to work or be replaced, workers are gathering this morning for yet another round of protests and picketing outside Demoulas Headquarters on East Street.
It appears as though more trucks are coming and going from the warehouse than at any time during the four-week-old labor dispute but some workers are claiming the trailers have very little food on them. Those replacement drivers have been greeted by shouts of "scumbag" and "scab" from the striking employees.
As negotiations continue toward a possible sale of the company to Arthur T. Demoulas, striking drivers, warehouse workers and HQ employees received notification this week that if they do not return to work the company will assume they have quit their jobs. In addition, CEO's Jim Gooch and Felicia Thornton have ordered store managers to accept food deliveries and fully stock the shelves, while taking down all protest related signs and symbols in the stores.
There are some reports that employees and/or the company plans an 11 a.m. press conference, although no official statement to that effect has been released to the media.
We will have updated on this story throughout the day.
