Tewksbury Man Seriously Injured In Rollover Accident

A Tewksbury man was seriously injured Friday morning when the van he was driving rolled over on the northbound side of Interstate 93 in Stoneham.

According to State Police, the 29-year-old man, whose name has not been released,  was operating a 2008 Ford Ecovan in the left travel lane when he lost control of the vehicle.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Peter Bien-Aime the vehicle swerved to its right across four lanes, made contact with the guardrail, and then flipped over, coming to rest in a wooded area.

According to the report, the victim, who was ejected, was not wearing a seatbelt. The victim was transported by medical helicopter.

The crash remains under investigation by Troop A of the Massachusetts State Police.
