Police Log: Crashes, Knives And Lightbulbs

According to a police report, the crash took place just before 2 p.m. near T.J. Callahan's Pub. The driver lost control of his vehicle and it rolled over.
The driver of the vehicle was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Pit Bull Problem
Poliuce received a call at around 5:30 p.m. on Friday from a Pine Street resident regarding an ongoing problem with neighbors and their dogs.
According to the caller, there has been an ongoing problem with the dogs running loose and they were running loose again at the time of the call.
Two officers were dispatched to the scene. One of them made contact with the son of the owner of the dogs, who was attempting to retrieve the dogs.
- Ryad Codner, 22, 34 Cinnamon Circle, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 16, on outstanding warrants for breaking and entering in the daytime and receiving stolen property with a value greater than $250.
- Sunday, Aug. 17, 1:15 a.m. -- Police received a call from a female resident of Anthony Road, who reported that there were three men urinating in front of her house. Officers responded to the scene and reported that the men were on their way.
- Saturday, Aug. 16, 7:07 p.m. -- A woman called 911 from a room at the Motel Caswell and reported she could see a knife in the light fixture on the ceiling. An officer responded to the location and spoke to the woman. The officer investigated the light fixture and reported that what she had seen was, in fact, a light bulb.
- Saturday, Aug. 16, 11:08 a.m. -- A caller reported there were people playing on the Funway Park Playground while it was still under construction. Officers responded to the scene and the people were sent on their way.
