Police Log: BB Gun Attacks, Family Feud, And A Dine And Dash

Two motorists reported being shot at by BB guns on Monday, Aug. 25, in separate incidents.
Police received the first call around 8:30 p.m. from a man who said his car had been shot at by a BB gun on Livingston Street.
A short time later, a second man called police and reported the same thing had happened to him in the exact same area of Livingston Street about 20 minutes earlier.
The cases remain under investigation.

Clearly he misunderstands the concept of self-checkout
A Dorchester man faces multiple charges following a traffic stop Sunday night, Aug. 24.
Michael Marash, 39, 19 St. Mark St., was pulled over by a Tewksbury Police officer on Astle Street. As he spoke with Marash, the officer glanced inside the vehicle, prompting him to as dispatch to call Home Depot and see if a theft had just occurred.
Home Depot personnel confirmed that a man had left the store with more than $300 worth of merchandise. He allegedly had left with the merchandise after his credit card had been denied while passing through the self-service checkout.
Marash was arrested and shoplifting items with a value greater than $100 and larceny over $250 by scheme.

On Sunday, Aug. 24, Tewksbury Police found themselves in the middle of a feud between the respective families of a young couple.
The incident began around 9:30 a.m., when dispatch received a call from a Billerica woman. She explained that her son was dating a girl from Tewksbury and the girl's father had just made threats against her son. Further, she alleged that the man had said he was going to hurt her son in the same way he had hurt his own daughters, which left her concerned for the well-being of the girls. The woman was told that because she lived in Billerica, she should call Billerica PD about the threats.
At around 12:45 p.m., Police received a call from a Texas Road residence. The caller said a man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle had just pulled up and was making threats against the father of the family. The caller said this was related to the earlier incident.
Again, at 2:15 p.m., a caller from the same Texas home and said the same man was driving by the house again, making threats against the father.
Police put out a "Stop and Hold" BOLO for a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle with saddlebags and New Hampshire plates.

  • Jason M. Bourgeois, 40, 20 Oregon Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with operating a motor vehicle after his license was revoked.
  • Michael Lamirande, 30, 11 Depot Road, Dennisport, was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with assault and battery and failure to stop.
Additional calls:
  • Monday, Aug. 25, 7:04 p.m. -- The manager of Applebee's called police to report a group of kids had fled the restaurant without paying for the food they had ordered. A report was filed.
  • Sunday, Aug. 24, 6:54 p.m. -- Police received a 911 call from a driver who said they had just struck a dog on Whipple Road. The dog was deceased and the caller reported that the owner of the dog was now on the scene.
