Last year's event raised more than $10,000, which helped fund Liam Nation Athletics (adaptive sports programs). Money raised was also distributed to programs such as the Recreational Adult Resource Association, the Professional Center for Child Development and the LABBB Education Collaborative.
Erin Knyff, co-founder of Liam Nation, said this year's event promises to be better than ever.
"This is our biggest fundraiser each year and we went big this year," she said.
Tickets for the event are $50 each and includes a buffet dinner and the show. Hosted by Johnny Pizzi, the lineup of comedians includes Christine Hurley, Artie Januario and Steve Sweeney,
Hurley gained fame as First Runner Up in the nationally televised “Nick-At-Nites” search for America’s Funniest Mom contest. Januario, a pharmacist by day, is a veteran of the Boston Comedy circuit. Sweeney has enjoyed a successful 30-year career, performing at comedy clubs across the country and appearing in TV shows and movies.

But in addition to the dinner and the show, there is also a chance to win some amazing prizes in several raffles. Prizes available include sports tickets, a hockey stick autographed by Ray Bourque, an autographed Celtics jersey, a poster of the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Bruins autographed by the whole team, Paul Wahlberg coming to your house to cook dinner for six and many more!!
