Single-Stream Recycling Begins Today In Tewksbury; Is Your Address Red or Blue?

Sep 10, 2014 10:35AM, Published by Bill Gilman, Categories: Tewksbury Pride, Today, Town Hall

Automated, single-stream recycling begins in Tewksbury today.
Recycling pickups are done every other week, according to your address, using the 96-gallon containers distributed to each residence.
The town is divided into "Blue" and "Red" districts. The Blue District, which includes all addresses to the Billerica side of Main Street (Route 38) will start pickups this week. The Red District, which includes all addresses to the Andover side of Main Street (Route 38) start next week.
According to Town Manager Richard Montuori, anyone needing a second 96-gallon container can request one from Town Hall and will receive it in 2-3 weeks.
