LETTER: Sen. Finegold Thanks Tewksbury For Its Support

Sep 18, 2014 01:13PM, Published by Bill Gilman, Categories: Opinion

To The Editor:

I want to thank everyone in the town for their overwhelming support in last week’s election and over the course of the last nine months of our campaign. I am very proud of the effort we put forward together, and running for statewide office was a remarkable experience.

My life started off in public housing, and it wasn’t until my parents got public school teaching jobs that we moved up here to the Merrimack Valley, which I continue to call home. It was because of hard work and dedication that opportunity came to my family and me. I serve in public office so that other families will have the same opportunity I did. Our campaign was fueled by this idea, and our message of hard work and humble beginnings resonated with many across the Commonwealth.

My desire to help people and make a difference will continue, and I am so appreciative of what this town has given me.
