Tewksbury Health Department Issues Alert Regarding Enterovirus D68

(Editor's note: The following information was submitted by Department of Public Health Director Lou Ann Clement.)

On September 23, 2014 the MA Department of Public Health announced a confirmed case of Enterovirus D68 in Massachusetts.   The patient is school aged with a history of asthma was treated, and has been released from the hospital.     
This virus was first identified in 1962 in California and was not commonly reported.  However, it is now become more active.  Please keep yourself and your family safe.  Refer and follow the precautions on the link below:
