Volunteers will once again gather at Tewksbury Country Club and get their assignments for the Tewksbury Fall Cleanup Day.
The Tewksbury Beautification Committee announces its Fall Clean Up Day, Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 9:00AM-2:00PM. Following a successful spring event in which residents collected over 750 pounds of trash, the Committee is excited to offer this autumn clean up opportunity. Interested citizens, community groups, church and sports groups are encouraged to register via Sign Up Genius at http://goo.gl/V9YJ3v or by emailing email@example.com. Over twelve miles of roads have been identified for this season’s effort. The primary focus is Main Street, Shawsheen Street, Route 133 and South Street.
Individual volunteers or team leads are asked to visit the Beautification Committee tent at the Tewksbury Country Club parking lot to receive bags, gloves, safety vests and cones for collecting trash during the event. Each team will receive a contact card to call or text for their trash and supplies to be picked up when they are finished. Any amount of time is appreciated, so come when you can! This is an ideal opportunity to earn Community Service hours, and there is a free raffle for donated prizes from local merchants such as Altitude Trampoline Park and Merrimack Valley Pavilion.
The Committee would also like to thank its partners – Tewksbury Department of Public Works, Tewksbury’s Bicycle Pedestrian and Advisory Committee, Tewksbury Town Hall, Tewksbury Board of Selectman, and the Tewksbury Police Department.
