Library Hosts Merrimack Valley Horror Author Fair On Oct. 7

Bracken MacLeod will be among the horror writers to appear at the Tewksbury Public Library for the Merrimack Valley Horror Fair.

Event Information: All library events below are intended for adults. Events are free, but registration is required. Register by calling 978-640-4490 x 205, emailing rhayes@mvlc.org, or visiting the library’s online calendar of events at www.tewksburypl.org. Events are typically held in the library’s first-floor Meeting Room. All events are sponsored by the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library.

Crime Talk: The Hanging Judge with Michael Posnor

Thursday, October 2, 7pm

Author Michael Posnor will discuss his book, The Hanging Judge.  Michael is a federal judge who, in 2000, presided over the first capital case in Massachusetts in more than fifty years.  His debut thriller, inspired by his involvement in that high profile case, offers an unprecedented view of a federal death penalty trail.  Q&A and book signing after the talk.

Friday Night Film: Transformers – Age of Extinction

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood’s newest DVD releases – Transformers: Age of Extinction, a PG-13 rated action adventure starring Mark Wahlberg.  Complimentary snacks and beverages are provided.  Can’t make it on Friday night?  The film will be encored on Monday, October 6 at 10:30am.


Guide To Health Living with Sarah Dubois

Merrimack Valley Horror Author Fair

The 1st Annual Merrimack Valley Horror Author Fair will feature TEN local horror authors, all members of the New England Horror Writers organization.  Each author will be given five minutes to highlight their works.  After all have spoken, each will return to their table, where they will chat with audience members and sell and sign copies of their books.  Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.  Participating authors will include: Inanna Arthen, Gordon Bean, Alyn Day, Scott Goudsward, Dan Keohane, Dale Phillips, Bracken MacLeod, Rob Smales, T. Stephens, and Vlad Vaslyn.
