Shawsheen Tech To Host College and Career Planning/Recruitment Night

The Shawsheen Valley Technical High School’s Guidance Department will host its annual ‘College and Career Planning Night’ on Thursday, October 23, from 6-8 p.m. in the school gymnasium.
The event is designed to assist students and parents with college or career exploration and decision-making with participants receiving a “College and Career Planning Guide.” Students and parents will have the opportunity to network with more than 70 representatives from a variety of public and private colleges, universities, community colleges and technical institutes as well as the military (all four branches). Among the institutions sending representatives include: Salem State University, Saint Anselm College, Sacred Heart University, the University of Massachusetts (Boston, Dartmouth & Lowell), Wentworth Institute of Technology, Johnson & Wales University, Middlesex Community College and Northern Essex Community College.
The College and Career Planning Night is open to students from all five of the district’s surrounding towns and is part of a series of informational programs sponsored by the Shawsheen Tech Guidance Department. A Financial Aid Planning event is scheduled for January.
