Elks To Host Thanksgiving Dinner For Seniors; Halloween Dance At Senior Center

Tickets are available for the Elks Thanksgiving Dinner, taking place on November 13th, at 5PM. This event is for TEWKSBURY SENIORS ONLY. There will be a bus provided if there is enough interest. It would be advisable to find a ride with a friend as if there is not enough interest there will be no bus. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Couples may pick up 4 tickets and individuals may pick up 2.
The Friends of the Elderly will hold its annual Halloween Dance on October 24th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10pp and the costume contest will be at 7:15 PM.
The Senior Center was accepted into this year’s Applefest Craft fair, taking place at the Tewksbury Memorial High School on Saturday October 25th, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
There will be a Cribbage Tournament on Saturday, October 25, 2014. The tournament will start at 12:00 noon sharp. There will be 9 games and there will be a break for refreshments. Pre-registration is appreciated. The cost to participate is $20 (cash only) and all are welcome.
DJ Jon Mansfield will be back to the Senior Center for an afternoon dance on Monday, October 27th. Those who obtain a ticket by October 22th will have lunch included in the $6 tickets price.
Jim Miceli will have office hours at the Senior Center on Tuesday, October 28th from 9:30AM to 11:00AM.
Our own Sandy Dukeshire is having a “Make Your Own Ornament” at Mill City Glass Works located on the first floor of #122 Western Avenue Studios in Lowell. The cost is $20 per person and a pre-registration is required. The event is being held on November 1st. You can reserve your space with Jan Conole at the Tewksbury Senior Center.
The Senior Center will hold a dance featuring the musical entertainment of the Fred Manzi Band on Friday, November 7th at 7:00 PM. We will be holding an Italian Feast before the dance, including spaghetti and meatballs, raviolis, green salad, garlic bread and desert. The cost of the dance will be $10/pp, or $20 to include dinner. Tickets are available in advance or at the door, but you must sign-up by November 4th in order to enjoy the Italian dinner.We hope you will come and enjoy yourself at the Senior Center.
The Friends of the Elderly will hold a YARD SALE at the Senior Center on Saturday, November 15th from 9 AM to 2 PM. Table space is available to the general public at $15 per table or two tables for $25. There will be 30 tables of treasures, a bake table, and luncheon specials featuring Chef Nick's corn chowder. The Yard Sale is held rain or shine. The public is welcome and admission is free.
The Silverstone’s will hold its next monthly dance at the Senior Center on Friday, November 21st beginning at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door at $10 per person. Why not come on down and listen to the great big band sounds of our in-house band.
There will be a trip to the Festival of Trees in Methuen on Sunday November 23rd. The bus will leave the Senior Center at 2PM. The cost of the trip is $15 to cover the cost of the bus transportation.
Trip to the Stoneham Theatre is being planned for December 17th. The matinee is “Meet me in St. Louis”. Cost of the trip is $50 per person which includes Round Trip Bus Transportation from the Senior Center to the Stoneham Theatre. Tickets to the theatre are orchestra seats. The bus departs the Senior Center at 8:45AM.
