Earlier this month, Tewksbury High officials, faculty, students and family members gathered for an official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Tewksbury High turf field, track and tennis courts.
The field complex is located adjacent to the new high school. The tennis courts are on the Pleasant Street side of the school.
Both were included in Phase 2 of the new high school project.
The five-court tennis complex was first used in June for the Tewksbury Open and received rave reviews from the players.
The field got its first game use in September and has also received positive reviews for being a top quality playing surface, from players and coaches.
Among those to speak at the dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony were Superintendent of Schools Dr. John O'Connor, state Rep. Jim Lyons, new TMHS Principal Kristen Vogel, state Rep. Jim Miceli and state Sen. Barry Finegold.
Editor Bill Gilman was on-hand and captured these images and video clip.
