A Lowell man was sentenced to prison last week for taking part in a Tewksbury burglary back in 2012.
33-year-old Joseph Gagnon, along with 32-year-old Shawn Keefe of Lowell and 25-year-old Erica Ruane of Tyngsboro, were arrested after breaking into a home at 666 Whipple Road in Tewksbury. The break-in was caught on the homeowner's video-surveillance system.
According to the homeowner, a jewelry box was stolen in the burglary.
According to court records, Gagnon pled guilty in Lowell District Court in September to charges of larceny over $250, breaking and entering into a building in the daytime for a felony and conspiracy. Prosecutors told the court that Gagnon has a lengthy criminal record.
Last week, a judge sentenced Gagnon to 1-2 years in State Prison, to be followed by three years probation.
Keefe had previously been sentenced to two years in prison and two years probation after pleading guilty to B&E and larceny over $250.
