Are you in search of a unique Christmas gift idea for the person on your list who has everything? Perhaps you would consider making a donation in his or her name to Tewksbury’s first Habitat for Humanity House. Select a monetary denomination or an actual item with a value of $25 or more and Tewksbury Habitat Build will create a custom honorary gift card representing your donation which you can present to your recipient. For a complete listing of items that can be donated, visit the website atwww.tewksburyhabitatbuild.org.
Recent orders include a resident who purchased a window in honor of her father and a Tewksbury school department staffer who made a donation in lieu of Christmas gifts for the teachers at the Heath Brook School. We’re also pleased to share that the front door to the house has been purchased. Many items remain, including windows, appliances, shares of flooring, landscaping, roofing and more.
Online orders (with payment via credit card) can be completed thru the Habitat for the Holidays page on the website, or donors can request an order form by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Order forms and tax deductible checks, payable to Tewksbury Habitat Build, should be returned to Tewksbury Congregational Church, Attn: Habitat for the Holidays, 10 East Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876. The order deadline is Monday, December 15th. Please expect a processing time of five business days.
Tewksbury’s first Habitat for Humanity house will be constructed at 110 State Street, on the corner of State and South Street, near the Tewksbury United Methodist Church. Although the project is managed by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell, the Tewksbury Habitat Build Committee has begun local efforts to create awareness of the project and to raise 50K before construction begins in April. Thanks to fundraising efforts like this one and financial gifts of all sizes from residents, local organizations, and local businesses, Tewksbury Habitat Build has already secured nearly 12K toward the 50K goal. They are currently seeking those interested in making a sponsorship-level gift of 5K or more. Donors at that level will receive recognition (logo or name) on the work site construction sign and they will be acknowledged on the website and in publications. Staff from Greater Lowell Habitat and Tewksbury Habitat Build would be delighted to meet with local businesses and organizations to share information about this and future builds. Please send an email to email@example.com to request a meeting or presentation.
Just interested in making a tax deductible donation? Stop by Tewksbury’s TD Bank, located near Town Hall, and deposit a check directly into the Tewksbury Habitat Build account. These funds will go toward the building of our first and future Tewksbury Habitat Houses. Donations via credit card or PayPal are also most welcome via the website.
