TMHS Report -- Fashion Show A Success, International Christmas Tree

Notes from Tewksbury Memorial High School­

International Club­ International Club --Has a tree on display at the public library. Our ornaments are flags of as many countries and we were able to fit the saying "May Peace Prevail on Earth" written in a number of languages. Field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts on Monday was lovely.

Student Council­ -- Collecting items for the charity drive. Preparing for Administrators Day January 9th. We will be attending NEMASC on Friday, a conference for student councils in northeastern Massachusetts. The conference will be run by NEMASC president, Tewksbury's Dan Hurley.

National Honor Society­ -- Tutoring is on Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings in the library. The Koats for Kids and Toys for Tots drives are going on until December 23.

Echo­ -- Preparing for winter wonderland on 13th of December and a blood drive on the 16th

Senior Class Council­ -- Selling merchandise and looking into candy grams

Tolerance Core/The Gay­Straight Alliance­ -- Using the month of December to honor Octavia St. Laurent, an advocate for transgender rights in the 80's. They are also planning a timeline for the LGBTQ community to put up in the school.

Freshman Class Council­ -- Thinking about running a movie night for all ages at the high school in late December or early January

DECA­ -- The fashion show was a success! They raised over $3000 dollars for the Meghan McCarthy research fund. Now DECA is preparing for the state conference that is coming up in January.
