Jan 02, 2015 02:09PM ● By Bill Gilman
For most folks, the easiest way to dispose of a live Christmas Tree is to place it on their curb to be picked up by the town service.
Tewksbury offers Christmas Tree curbside pickup service through its recycling program -- but for one week only.
According to the Town Website, tree pickups will take place the week of Jan. 5-9, according to the assigned street schedule:

"CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP: is for ONE WEEK ONLY starting on January 5th thru 9th. Please call 800-442-9006 if you do not know your yard waste day (Mon thru Fri pickup). If you are missedplease call Republic Services as soon as missed so that they can picked it up. This pickup is for ONE WEEK ONLY!!"

According to the website, Christmas trees have to be tinsel and ornament free and should be left curbside before 7 a.m. on your street's pickup day.
Condominium Complexes provide their own yard waste and Christmas tree pick-ups.  Residents of condo complexes should consult their condo association.
Each street in Tewksbury has a designated recycling day and its usually not Wednesday.  If you are not sure of your street's day click here Street Pickup Day.
