The 2015 TMS freshman girls basketball team has started off the new year with three of its  MVC games.  On Friday, January 2 a home game was played against Lawrence HS and the Lady Redmen overpowered the visiting Lancers by a score of 44 -24.

On Tuesday, January 6 in a game played at Central Catholic a Tewksbury rally in the fourth quarter fell short and the hosts won a contested game 44 -33. Finally, the Lady Redmen traveled to Dracut on Friday, January 9 coming away with a 33-26 victory.

With a current record of 3 -3 the team is approaching the mid-point of the current game schedule.  MVC opponents have been held to an average of 36 points per game which is expected to drop even lower as defensive schemes improve.  The team is led by Izzy Picher (12 ppg) and Michela Svendsen (6 ppg)  with strong support at the forward position by Jenny Lerman and Jacqui Marchand and Emily Amaral, Stephanie Graffeo and Jocelyn Stravos as the guards.

Next game is Tuesday, Jan. 13 vs Andover at TMHS at 4 p.m.
