Tewksbury Selectman Scott Wilson has not announced that he does intend to seek a third term on the board. However, he has taken steps in that direction.
On Friday, Wilson took out nomination papers from the Town Clerk's Office. Candidates have until Feb. 23 to return their completed nomination papers to the Town Clerk’s office with valid signatures of at least 50 registered voters.
Wilson said taking out papers is not indicative of a decision. Rather, he is keeping his options open.
"I do think I am still making a difference (on the board)," said Wilson. "But I need to figure out, if re-elected, if I can commit three more years to the meetings, time, etc."
Taking out papers on Wednesday was incumbent Selectman David Gay. Potential challenger Mark Kratman took out papers earlier in the week.
Among the candidates taking out papers earlier in the week were incumbent School Committee members Dennis Francis and Jamie Cutelis, incumbent Library Trustee Paige Impink, incumbent Board of Health members Kathleen Brothers and Raymond Barry and potential Planning Board challenger George Ferdinand of Pratt Street.
