It had been 13 years since Tewksbury Boy Scout Troop 322 had any of its members achieve Eagle Scout status.
The troop made up for lost time earlier this month when three members -- Devon King, Alex Viens, and Bryan Young were officially honored with scouting's highest achievement.
On Jan. 10,  front of family, friends, mentors and fellow scouts at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Lodge of Elks, the young men each spoke of their journey through the ranks of scouting and the people who helped them achieve their goals.
King is now a
freshman history major at the UMass Amherst. He is also working toward a minor in natural resource conservation. Viens is a freshman at the UMass Dartmouth. Young is in the Army National Guard, where he has achieved EMT certification. He is also a freshman exercise physiology major at UMass Lowell.
The last Eagle Scout from Troop 322 was Sean Bushway, who now lives in Scarborough, ME, and works as an IT specialist. Bushway's parents attended the ceremony earlier this month for King, Viens and Young.
