The 2015 TMHS freshman girls basketball team continued MVC competition with games against Andover, Lowell and Chelmsford.

A home game on Jan. 13 against Andover found the Lady Redmen  in a strong defensive game played by both teams.  Andover was able to convert on free throws in the final quarter to hang on for a 32-28 win.

Tewksbury traveled to Lowell on Jan 20.  Both teams were slow to start off the game and the Lady Redmen held a slim two-point lead with the final quarter to go but Lowell turned up the defensive pressure and held Tewksbury to a single field goal over the final 8 minutes of play for a 35-27 victory.

A rematch of the season opener with Chelmsford was played last night,at TMHS.  The evenly matched teams struggled to get their offenses on track and a furious Chelmsford rally in the fourth quarter was held off with some great ball control and time management for a 26-21 TMHS victory.

The team continues to develop its offense and defensive schemes with individual skills improving with each practice. Rounding out the team roster are Alison Couillard, Melissa Keeley and Ashley Turri at the guard slot, and Sara Bishop, Stephanie Cunningham and Jordyn Cavicchi as forwards.  The next home game is Friday, January 30 vs North Andover.
