Police Log: Fire on Catamount Road, Stolen Car Found

Gleora Mae Atkinson, 45, of 158 Concord Rd. #A5 was arrested on Monday, Feb. 2 at the Motel 6 on Main Street. She had an outstanding warrant for arrest on charges of alleged possession of Class B Drugs.
Snow conditions made things tough for drivers on Monday, Feb. 2, with six disabled vehicles during the morning alone. A driver on Ellington Road received a citation at 9:06 a.m. due to their poor driving during the storm.
Just after noon on Feb. 2, Police received a call about a mother on Whipple Road who was allegedly intoxicated while taking care of her two children. Police investigated the allegations, additional information was not available.
Just before midnight on Feb. 2, a plow driver heading into the parking lot of Longhorn Steakhouse on Andover Street saw a Jeep with no license plates and equipment problems. Police checked the VIN number of the car and couldn’t find any issues, but learned from Lowell Police that the vehicle fit the description of a car that was stolen from Lowell earlier in the day. Lowell Police verified that the car was indeed stolen, it was taken from the scene.
At 3:21 p.m. on Feb. 4, police aided firefighters with a house fully engulfed in flames on Catamount Road. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified, a full report is still pending.
- Just after midnight on Feb. 4, a resident on Darby Street called to report to suspicious grocery bags placed on his lawn and the lawn of his neighbor. It was discovered that the bags were leftover from recent roadwork.
