Rep. Lyons Receives Key Committee Appointments

House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading) has announced he has appointed Rep. Jim Lyons (R-Andover) to several key legislative committees for the 2015-2016 session.
Rep.Lyons has been named the ranking member to the Joint Committee on Public Health, as well as a member of the Joint Committee on the Judiciary and a member of the House Committee on Personnel & Administration.
“Rep. Lyons has been a steadfast advocate for the residents of the Eighteenth Essex District since he was first elected to the Legislature in 2010,” said Representative Jones. “I am confident he will continue to provide effective leadership for his constituents while serving in his new committee assignments.”
“I am pleased to receive my committee assignments from the Minority Leader,” said Lyons. “I look forward to utilizing my positions on these committees to continue to fight for my constituents in the 18th Essex District and tackle some of the most pressing issues which face the Commonwealth.”
Rep.Lyons represents the 18th Essex District, which consists of the communities of Andover, Boxford, North Andover, and Tewksbury. He is currently serving his third term in the Massachusetts Legislature.
