Shawn Falcon-Gomez and Charles Horton face drug charges.

A Methuen man is facing multiple felony charges, after allegedly trying to run down a Tewksbury Police Officer trying to made a drug bust.
Shawn Falcon-Gomez, 25, 9 Independence Dr., Apt 13, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 24, with help from the Lawrence Police Department. He was charged with distribution of heroin, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (motor vehicle) and failure to stop for police.

That arrest stems from an incident that took place Sunday, Feb. 22. Tewksbury detectives observed an alleged drug deal between Falcon-Gomez and Charles Horton, 38, 970 Main Street, Tewksbury.

According to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, while Horton was being arrested, Falcon-Gomez refused to exit his vehicle and fled the area, nearly striking two detectives with his car as he drove straight at them.

On Tuesday, Tewksbury Detectives were notified by the Lawrence PD that Falcon-Gomez was in custody and he was transferred to the Tewksbury Police Headquarters.

Horton is charged with possession of heroin and a class E substance (gabapentin).

Falcon-Gomez was scheduled to be arraigned at Lowell District Court, Wednesday.
