A New Hampshire man, wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Stratham, NH, was arrested at the Motel 6 in Tewksbury on Wednesday.
Seamus Murphy, 32, of Milford, NH, was tracked to the motel by the FBI. Once he was located and an arrest warrant was obtained, Tewksbury Police were notified and executed the warrant.
Murphy is charged with robbing the Citizens Bank inside the Shaw's Supermarket in Stratham on Tuesday.
According to an article published by Seacoast Online, Murphy did not show a weapon but claimed to have one during the robbery and escaped on foot with an undetermined amount of money.
According to the article, Murphy was arrested without incident when he stepped out of his motel room to smoke a cigarette. Preparing for a potential standoff, a SWAT team had been requested but Murphy was arrested before they arrived on scene.
In addition to the bank robbery charge, Murphy has several outstanding warrants in New Hampshire for previous crimes.
