Tewksbury 8B Girls' Travel Team Fights Hard, Loses to Billerica in Finals

Tewksbury 8B Girls Travel team had an impressive 9-0 run the last 9 games of the regular season and went 2 and 1 in the playoffs losing to Billerica in the championship.  The team won decisive victories over Westford, Georgetown, and North Andover to cement a third seed in the River Valley League playoffs.  In the semi-finals, Tewksbury beat Wilmington (the number 2 seed) after coming back from a 6 point deficit in the first half.  The team came together and won by 5 points making it to the championship Sunday against Billerica in the finals.  Tewksbury ended up losing a tough game to Billerica (number 1 seed) capping off their year with a final record of 14 wins - 5 losses.  Congratulations to all the girls for showing the true determination and fight that it takes to be a champion!  Great Job Girls!
