DRACUT: Timothy F. McLaughlin, age 49, recently of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Dracut, passed away at home on Friday, March 6, 2015.

He was the beloved husband of Jill M. (Rich) McLaughlin, with whom he would have celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2015.

Born in Honolulu, HI on November 6, 1965, he was the son of Martha (Hodge) McLaughlin of Nashua, NH and Fredrick McLaughlin of Lowell.

Tim attended Lowell schools, graduated from the Greater Lowell Vocational High School, and later received an A.S. Degree from Middlesex Community College.

Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Tim was awarded several decorations for his military service including the Good Conduct Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Meritorious MAST Letter of Appreciation and two Rifle Expert Badges.

Tim worked as an Associate Scientist for the Bristol Myers Squib Company in Billerica.

He enjoyed coaching for the Dracut Youth Football and Baseball Programs, and following professional , college, high school and youth sports. In addition, Tim enjoyed fitness activities, especially weight training.

In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include two children, Kenneth C. and Kelsie M. McLaughlin both of Dracut; three siblings, Bonnie McLaughlin of Marietta, GA , Shaun P. and Jamie W. McLaughlin of Nashua, NH; his former sister-in-law, Dawn McLaughlin; many nieces and nephews.

Tim was the grandson of the late Catherine Hodge.

Calling hours are Friday, March 20, 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by Military Honors to be rendered at the funeral home. Omit Flowers. Donations may be mailed to the Wounded Warrior Project, Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or made online at
