Our AARP Volunteers are here to help senior’s complete their tax returns. There are still appointments available. Please contact Jan Conole at 978-640-4482 to find out if there are any appointments left. Last date is April 2, 2015.
Tickets are on sale for the Monday, April 6th Casino trip to Mohegan Sun. The cost of this trip is $30 per person, which includes motor coach transportation, a casino package and the driver gratuity.
The next foot care clinic will be held on Thursday March 19th. At this time that clinic is full. Call the office 978-640-4482 and speak to Jan to be put on the waitlist or to be scheduled for a future date.
The Friends of the Elderly will hold a Giant Yard Sale at the Tewksbury Senior Center on Saturday, March 28th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The public is welcomed to reserve a table for this event. Table space is available at $15/table or $25/two tables. Limited space remains so call the Senior Center to book your table today. The Yard Sale will feature many treasure tables, a bake sale table and luncheon specials. For more information one may call the Senior Center at 978-640-4480 or Linda at 978-851-4243. DJ Jon Mansfield will be back to the Senior Center for an afternoon dance on Monday, March 30, 2015. Those who obtain a ticket by March 25th will have lunch included in the $6 tickets price.
St. Patrick’s day sale from March 9th through March 20th at the Snooti Patooti Boutique, 25% off all items, excluding greeting cards, Burts Bees products and consignor items. Come on down and check out our items in green.
Elder Services will be running a six week program called Powerful Tools for Caregivers class here at the Tewksbury Senior Center. The class will run from March 18 – April 29 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM and it designed to help take care of the caregiver while you are caring for someone else that cannot care for themselves any longer. The class is limited to 10 participants and still has some openings. For more information or to register for classes please contact: Robin May, Rmay@esmv.org, 978-946-1441. The class is offered at no cost to the participants and is not intended for professional caregivers.
The Silvertone’s will hold its next monthly dance at the Senior Center on Friday, March 20th beginning at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10 per person and are available at the door. Why not come on down and listen to the great big band sounds of our in-house band.
We have a day trip scheduled to the Boston Symphony Orchestra rehearsal on April 9th. The bus will depart the Senior Center at 9:15AM and the show is at 10:30AM. Participants are responsible for their own lunch. The cost is $25 per person and tickets are on sale now!
The 7th Annual Health Fair is being held at the Tewksbury Senior Center on April 8th from 2PM to 6PM. We have more than 50 vendors with individual tables. We will have REIKI demonstrations as well as chair massages, dentists, rehab agencies, skin analyzation, Community Teamwork, The Mass Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, blood pressure screenings and the Blaire House will be making some delicious treats so come on down and check it out. Attendance is free and everyone is welcome! Donations to the Tewksbury Food Pantry will be accepted. Also please note that all activities will be cancelled on that day!
