DA Ryan: We'll Go After The Marathon Bomber Once Feds Are Done With Him

(Editor's note: The following statement is from the office of Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan regarding the prosecution of confessed Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.)
The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office has jurisdiction concerning the investigation into the April 19, 2013 incident in Watertown on Laurel Street during which law enforcement officers attempted to apprehend Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
In addition, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office has jurisdiction to prosecute the criminal case in connection with the murder of MIT Police Officer Sean Collier in Cambridge on April 18, 2013.
“Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury for the murder of Sean Collier and we intend to move forward with criminal charges against Tsarnaev after the current federal trial is completed,” said District Attorney Ryan. “In addition, the investigation remains active into the incident which occurred on Laurel Street in Watertown on Friday, April 19. The written investigatory report concerning the Laurel Street incident is anticipated to be completed within two months.”
