Throw Some Bags! Find A Cure!

Mar 22, 2015 11:35AM ● By Kieran Gilman
A Charity Cornhole Tournament will be held at the Bunting Club (449 Boylston Street, Lowell) on May 16th to support JJSTRONG, a team participating in the Walk to Stop Diabetes.

Cornhole is a fun game where two teams take turns throwing beanbags at a wooden board with a single hole.  The goal is to get as many on the board or in the hole as possible.

Registration ends at 12:30 PM on the day of the tournament.  The registration form is attached as a PDF.

Teams will have a chance to warm up from 12:00 PM until the start of the tournament.

The tournament format will be Round Robin style, followed by two double elimination tournaments.  This is subject to change based on the number of teams.

From Event Organizer Kevin Lowry:

"My Daughter Jessica was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on June 1st, 2013.  My family and I are walking the walk to help find a cure for Diabetes.  Throw some bags to lend support to help find a cure.

The money raised from the tournament will be used to donate to American Diabetes Association on behalf of my daughter  under the name: JJSTRONG."
