● By Kieran Gilman
It gives me great pride to write about someone near to my heart, not only because he is my husband, but because of his strong work ethic and loyalty to all Tewksbury residents.
David Gay is running for re-election to the Board of Selectmen to continue the work he is so passionate about-making Tewksbury a better place for everyone. In addition to serving on the Board of Selectmen, he is the Selectman Representative on the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA), helping increase service to Tewksbury. He serves on the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments (NMCOG) as Tewksbury’s voice in areas such as flooding, open space, land use, housing, and economic development.
David also currently serves on the Public Events and Celebrations Committee and the Personnel Review board. David previously served on the Economic Development Committee as part of the team that was instrumental in bringing Thermo Fisher to Tewksbury, gaining needed tax revenue. He has served on the Local Housing Partnership, the Metropolitan Planning Organization, High School Building Committee, and Community Preservation Committee. He is also part of the Town Hall Renovation Committee, the result of which you now see underway in our town center.
David goes the extra mile to make sure that residents are heard and their concerns are met. Whether they call him at night, or catch him at an event, David is always ready to listen.
I ask you to please join me in voting on Saturday, April 11, 2015 for David H. Gay, a man of honesty and integrity who always has the residents of Tewksbury’s best interests at heart.
