Mar 31, 2015 02:04PM ● By Paige Impink
The Tewksbury Beautification Committee, in conjunction with the Tewksbury Community of Artists, invites Tewksbury artists and residents to participate in the Tewksbury Switchbox Art Project. This project is open to Tewksbury residents and students ages 15 and up for the purpose of promoting public art in our community while celebrating the past, present, and future of Tewksbury. The switchboxes will provide a large metal canvas for artwork that will enhance the town’s public spaces while celebrating Tewksbury’s history, culture, and beauty. A stipend of $150 will be awarded to 5 chosen artists to assist with the cost of supplies needed to properly execute this project.

The theme of the Switchbox Art Project is Tewksbury: Past, Present, Future. Artwork can be representational or abstract but must be appropriate to the theme and suitable for a public audience. Interested residents may submit their complete application with full colored designs, to the Tewksbury Beautification Committee via mail or email for review. Links to the application and guidelines can be found below.

Applications due on or before April 1, 2015.
Selected artists will be notified by April 30, 2015.
