Spring Greening a Huge Success

The recent Spring Greening initiative at the John Wynn Middle School was a big success. Twelve large contractor garbage bags of clothing, shoes and books were delivered to a regional collection location in Westford. The items benefit Cradles to Crayons, a human services organization located in Brighton which distributes much needed articles to low-income and homeless families all over Massachusetts. Children from birth to age 12 are provided items such as clothing, shoes, books, backpacks, etc. – an effort to keep them focused on learning and to feel valued. The initiative was introduced to the middle school by Rosalyn Impink, Tewksbury’s 2015 Project 351 representative, supported by the Guidance Department of the school. The program sponsor at the Wynn is Mrs. Jaime Noberini.
Project 351 is a statewide program of 8th grade student ambassadors working to inspire leadership, service and giving in their communities. Students, parents and faculty of the Wynn school were extremely generous with their donations. Watch for future donation opportunities as Project 351 moves into the summer and fall.
