Volunteers Needed for Memorial Day Float

Tickets are now available for the following trips:
June 17, 2015: Hampton Beach, Continentals. $15 per person
July 8, 2015: Fosters Lobster, Isle off Shoals. $97 per person
July 22, 2015: Boston Duck Tour, Lunch at Fire & Ice. $62 per person
Aug  19, 2015: Essex Steam Train, Connecticut River. $89 per person

The men’s group will be meeting on Thursday April 23rd at 9AM at the Senior Center.   All men 60+ are welcome.

There will be a meeting on Friday April 24th at 1PM at the Senior Center to discuss plans for the Memorial Day Senior Float.  Anyone who would like to participate please try to come to the meeting.  Those interested in decorating the float, riding on the float or both please see Jan to add your name to the interest list.  ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND….THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!

Tickets are on sale now for the May 6th Casino trip to Foxwoods.   The cost of this trip is $30 per person, which includes motor coach transportation, a casino package and the driver gratuity.

The next foot care clinic will be held on Thursday May 21st.  At this time that clinic is full.  Call the office 978-640-4482 and speak to Jan to be put on the waitlist or to be scheduled for a future date.

There will be a Cribbage Tournament on Saturday, April 25, 2015.  The tournament will start at 12:00 noon sharp.  There will be 9 games and there will be a break for refreshments.  Pre-registration is appreciated.  The cost to participate is $20 (cash only) and all are welcome. 

The MS Support Group will hold its monthly meeting next Monday, April 27th  at 10:00 AM. This group is open the the public.

Rep Jim Miceli will hold office hours on April 28 from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at the Senior Center. Senator Barbara L’Italien will also have office hours on this date.

The Red Hat Carnation Belles are planning a trip to Casablanca By the Sea in Portland Maine on Tuesday June 16, 2015.  The trip features Portland’s Island/Seal Harbor Cruise, Old Port Visit, and Clambake Restaurant Luncheon.  Departure from the Senior Center is 9AM and the total cost is $69.00 per person and checks are payable to Fox Tours.  Deadline for tickets is May 20th.

DJ Jon Mansfield will be back to the Senior Center for an afternoon dance on Monday, April 27, 2015.  Those who obtain a ticket by April 22nd will have lunch included in the $6 tickets price.

The next Parkinson’s Support Group meeting will be held on May 1st at 9:30 AM at the Senior Center.  This group is open to all ages so please come and join us for this group.  This group is intended for those with Parkinson’s disease and those individuals may be accompanied by a loved one.  There will be refreshments served. 

A breakfast benefit hosted by the Friends of the Elderly, will be held on Sunday May 3rd from 7:30-11:00AM at the Senior Center.  All proceeds from this breakfast will be used to benefit the Senior Citizen participation in the Memorial Day Parade. Menu will include: pancakes, red white and blue waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, toast & beverages.  Adults are $7, children 12 and under are $3 and toddlers free. Public Welcome!

On May 11th we will be having a Cootie Party at 12:30PM.  This game is lots of fun and open to everyone to play.  Why not come down and join in.
