UPDATED: Tewksbury Police Nab Two At Home Depot For Heroin Trafficking

A Lowell couple is facing drug charges after being nabbed with a supply of heroin in their possession in the parking lot of Home Depot.
The bust took place Monday, April 27, as the result of an undercover narcotics investigation by Tewksbury Police Detectives, who arranged a buy, met the suspects, completed the transaction and made the arrest.
Ryan O’Neil, 25, of 15 Whipple St. in Lowell was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Substance (heroin). Ashley Fichera, 20, also of 15 Whipple St. in Lowell was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Substance (heroin).
O’Neil and Fichera were both arraigned in Lowell District Court on Tuesday, April 28. During his arraignment, the attorney representing O'Neil claimed the substances found on his client were not actually drugs but turkey seasoning and baking soda, according to an article published by The Lowell Sun. A final determination on the substances will be made by the State Crime Lab.
