East Celebrity Elite Wins National Competition

May 07, 2015 02:28PM ● By Bill Gilman

The East Coast Elite J5 Team recently won a national competition in Florida.

(Editor's note: The following information was submitted by East Coast Elite Cheering.)

This past weekend, Brenna Kaiser (8th grade Wynn Middle School) and Izzy Roux (6th grade Ryan School), both members of East Celebrity Elite's Junior 5 team, went to ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World and competed in a National Competition and won!!
ECE J5 won a Paid Bid to The Summit.  The Summit is an exclusive, invitation only, competition that awards Bids (Paid, At-Large and Wildcards) to teams throughout the 2014-2015 All Star season.
Only the "best of the best" are invited.  East Celebrity Elite competed against six teams on Saturday with only five moving on to Finals on Sunday.  They beat out the best junior 5 teams in the country to be crowned Summit National Champions.  Sunday's championship was broadcast live on ESPN.

The girls compete in the highest level of All-Star Cheerleading (levels 1-5) and this year were also crowned coveted back to back Future 5 Champions in Atlantic City this past February.
This is quite an accomplishment, considering the girls on this team are all under the age of 14.  Izzy and Brenna have been teammates for the last fouryears.
Izzy will continue cheering at East Celebrity Elite in the upcoming season, as will Brenna.  Brenna is also going to be trying out for the TMHS Varsity team this year as she enters 9th grade.
