On May 22nd we will be building the Senior and Red Hat Floats for the Memorial Day Parade. Anyone interested in helping to build the floats or ride on either float, please sign up at the front desk at the Senior Center.  Sign-up sheets are also available to participate by riding or walking the parade route with the Senior Float.  We hope to see you there.

Tickets are now available for the following trips:

June 6, 2015: Battleship Cove, Tour and Lunch. $56 per person

June 17, 2015 Hampton Beach, Continentals. $15 per person

July 8, 2015 Fosters Lobster, Isle of Shoals. $97 per person

July 22, 2015 Boston Duck Tour, Lunch at Fire & Ice. $62 per person

Aug  19, 2015 Essex Steam Train, Connecticut River. $89 per person

On May 11th we will be having a Cootie Party at 12:30PM.  This game is lots of fun and open to everyone to play.  Why not come down and join in.

Tickets for the June 1st Foxwoods Casino trip will go on sale on Monday May 11th at 8:15AM.  The cost of this trip is $30 per person, which includes motor coach transportation, a casino package and the driver gratuity.

The Red Hat Carnation Belles with be having a Chinese Food and Spring Project Meeting on May 14, 2015 at 6PM.  The cost is $15 per belle.

The men’s group will be meeting on Thursday May 14th at 9AM at the Senior Center.   All men 60+ are welcome.

The Tewksbury Historical Society & Salem Five Bank will be having an event at the Senior Center on May 15 at 7PM.  It will feature Kevin Comtois and the Music of the World War II Era.  Tickets for Society Members are $7:00 and for non-members $8.00.  Tickets are on sale at the Library on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in the Local History Room.  Tickets can all be reserved by emailing  The event will benefit the Society’s Building and Acquisition Fund.

DJ Jon Mansfield will be back to the Senior Center for an afternoon dance on Monday, May 18, 2015.  Those who obtain a ticket by May 13th will have lunch included in the $6 tickets price.

The MS Support Group will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, May 18th at 10:00 AM.  This group is open the public.

Senator Barbara L’Italien will also hold office hours on Tuesday May 18th at 10AM at the Senior Center.

The Silvertone’s will hold its next monthly dance at the Senior Center on Friday, May 22nd beginning at 7:00 PM.  Tickets are $10 per person and are available at the door. Why not come on down and listen to the great big band sounds of our in-house band.

The next foot care clinic will be held on Thursday May 21st.  At this time that clinic is full.    Call the office 978-640-4482 and speak to Jan to be put on the waitlist or to be scheduled for a future date.

Rep Jim Miceli will hold office hours on May 26th from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at the Senior Center.   

The Red Hat Carnation Belles are planning a trip to Casablanca By the Sea in Portland Maine on Tuesday June 16, 2015.  The trip features Portland’s Island/Seal Harbor Cruise, Old Port Visit, and Clambake Restaurant Luncheon.  Departure from the Senior Center is 9AM and the total cost is $69.00 per person and checks are payable to Fox Tours.  Deadline for tickets is May 20th.
