Police Lay The 'Smack' Down On Alleged Tewksbury Heroin Dealer

While most of the recent drug arrests made by the Tewksbury Police Department have involved out-of-town suspects doing their business in Tewksbury, the most recent busy involved a local man.

Russell Earle, 47, of 422 South Street, Tewksbury, was arrested on May 7, and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute heroin. 

According to Tewksbury Police, Earle was observed by Detectives acting suspiciously on Lake Street near the Wilmington line.  A subsequent motor vehicle stop resulted in the arrest and recovery of the narcotics. 

Earle was arraigned at Lowell District Court on May 8.
