Man Faces Third OUI Charge After Lowe Street Crash

An alleged repeat impaired driver is facing multiple charges after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole on Lowe Street, Tuesday evening.

According to police records, the crash took place around 7:40 p.m. and sparked a full emergency response.

The driver was not seriously injured but, after a brief investigation, was placed under arrest. Matthew Mulvaney, 51 Hancock St., Stoneham, was charged with OUI drugs (3rd Offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Mulvaney was arraigned Wednesday in Lowell District Court.
