Latest EPA Update On Tewksbury's Sutton Brook Disposal Area Superfund Site

May 21, 2015 04:30PM ● Published by Bill Gilman

The EPA has provided the following the update regarding toe ongoing efforts to cleanup and cap the Sutton Brook/Rocco's Dump Superfund Site off South Street.

What residents should expect:

Construction activities are going full speed with lots of progress being made.  Going forward, the Site will be active and regular deliveries of materials, supplies or equipment will continue.  Large volume soil deliveries have been ongoing and are expected to continue through the fall of 2015.

Landfill capping has been ongoing Monday-Saturday each week.  To keep up with the supply needs of the project, soil trucking deliveries on Saturdays are being considered.  If Saturday soil deliveries are in fact planned to start, an additional web update announcement will occur.
