Corporate headquarters build-out has been completed for Altiostar at 200 Ames Pond Drive, Tewksbury.
Vantage Builders Inc., a general contracting and construction firm announced that the firm completed a corporate headquarters build-out for Altiostar at 200 Ames Pond Drive, Tewksbury, Mass., in the Ames Park Corporate Center.
Tewksbury-based Altiostar Network is founded by veteran tech entrepreneur Ashraf Dahod. The firm raised $50 million in new equity funding earlier this year. With the latest round, the company has now raised a total of $120 million in funding. Before Altiostar, Dahod was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Internet Technology Group at Cisco Systems which was created after Cisco acquired Starent Network in 2009. Dahod co-founded Starent Networks in 2000 and was its President and CEO. Starent went public on the NASDAQ in 2007. Prior to Starent, Mr. Dahod co-founded NetCore Systems, Inc. in 1996 and served as its President and CEO. He co-founded Sigma Network Systems, Inc. in 1988 and founded Nu-Link, Inc. in 1991, Applitek Corporation (renamed to LANCity) in 1981.
The new 37,000-square foot location features both office and laboratory space and is an expansion from the startup's previous headquarters at nearby 100 Ames Pond Drive. The additional space was required to support the company's recent growth.
"Altiostar is a fast-growing, exciting startup and we were pleased to help build out the new corporate headquarters," said John Connor, principal at Vantage Builders. "We completed the project on time and on budget, which was critical given the aggressive 12-week schedule."
The space features four conference rooms, a large customer demonstration room, a boardroom and a video conference room, to support Altiostar's busy work environment. A 3,000 square foot technical laboratory area houses the company's computer and networking gear. Altiostar was able to utilize some of the existing offices, cubicles and furniture from the previous tenant, which enabled the company to allocate those funds towards operations, the lab area and the boardroom.
The office has custom finishes throughout, including paint, flooring and millwork, as well as new lighting. An 825-square foot café provides employees with a break area. The facility's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were upgraded.
The project team included architects ADD Inc., a division of Stantec, project managers Diversified Project Management, and engineering services from WB Engineers+Consultants. The building is owned by Tritower Financial Group LLC.
Altiostar is the mobile telecommunication industry's first provider of NFV C-RAN with Ethernet fronthaul, for software-intensive LTE radio access node (eNodeB).
