Invitation for Focus Group on Cancer Disparities

(Editor's Note: The following information comes from the Town of Tewksbury website.)

We would like to invite you to participate in a focus group with others from the Greater Lowell area to ask for your input on cancer and how it may differently affect people in your community.  This research is being conducted by UMass Lowell on behalf of the Greater Lowell Health Alliance (GLHA). Our goal is to make sure we have individuals from diverse segments of the community participating in this research.
A focus group is a form of research in which a small group (6 to 10 people) is asked about their ideas and experiences. In this group, you are free to share information, discuss answers and agree or disagree with each other. Our focus group will take about 60 to 90 minutes. It is completely voluntary.
We have attached a consent form that provides more details.  We hope you will be able to participate in this focus group and will review the consent information with you to make sure you understand everything that you will be asked to do and have an opportunity to ask questions.  It will be at the Senior Center on May 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Please let us know if you plan to attend.
To confirm your participation or if you have any questions, please contact Lou-Ann Clement at the Tewksbury Board of Health 978-640-4470.
